What time of year is the Best Time to buy a Trampoline?

SPRING

Spring is one of the top two times of year to buy a trampoline. If you live in a particularly rainy climate, the winter rains are ending and warmer temperatures are starting. If you get trampoline in spring, you will have all of spring, summer and fall to enjoy it before the rain and cold weather some back in.

Similarly spring is a good time of year if you live in a particularly hot climate as your children can get a lot of use before the hot summer months hit. Spring is also a popular time to grab yourself a backyard saucer swing for the kids! If you want to know what I am talking about, check out this post on the best tree swings for your backyard or patio!

FALL

In the fall it is a good time to buy a trampoline as demand is lower since many states have cooler and wetter weather. It is a great time to look into finding a sale on your trampoline purchase. It is also the time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.

If you live in a hot climate, the hot summer sun is ending and the kids are getting back outside. They can enjoy the trampoline from he get-go and into the winter and spring before hot temperatures return again the following summer!

SUMMER

Summer is the “typical” time to buy a trampoline as most retailers are promoting outdoor products. Whether it is trampolines, basketball, water slides, hiking and camping gear or bikes, everything outdoors is front and center! Consider adding a trampoline basketball hoop to your trampoline in the summertime!

WINTER

Winter is a popular time to buy a trampoline thanks to Christmas! It is a popular gift to wrap up under the tree for kids! It makes a great Christmas gift, especially if you can somehow get it set up beforehand! Another popular winter purchase is a gymnastics mat.

January is a good time of year to buy any type of fitness equipment. With New Years resolutions, weight loss goals and getting in shape are in the forefront of people’s minds. If your climate is conducive to being able to use a trampoline in the winter then this is a good time of year also.

What Age is the Best Time to Buy a Trampoline?

The age of your children is important to consider when you are looking to make your first trampoline purchase. This also goes for inflatable water slides and other outdoor play structures! If your children are too young to take an interest, or not able to climb in or out on their own, it is probably a bit too early to consider buying a trampoline. (When siblings are added into the mix, things change a bit).

Also if your children are older and not into gymnastics, it could be an expensive toy that is way underused as older children may gravitate to other things outdoors.

Overall the best age to buy your children a full sizes trampoline is about 4-10 years old. Smaller toddler-sized trampolines can be used earlier, but they are quickly outgrown as kids get older.
